Rate Change Information

On January 4,2010, Postmaster Genral John Potter of the USPS will adjust prices for Shipping Services. The average increase for Postal Service shipping prices is 3.3 percent. By comparison, USPS competitors have announced price increases of nearly 6 percent.

Pricing for First-Class Mail, Standard Mail, Periodicals, Parcel Post and some other services will not increase. And the Retail price for Priority Mail Flat Rate envelopes will actually be reduced!

Pricing highlights:
·         USPS will increase costs to the following Shipping Services: Express Mail, Priority Mail, Parcel Return Service,Parcel Select (Destination Entry Only), Global Express Guaranteed, Express Mail International, and Priority Mail International.
·         A First Class Mail stamp will remain at $0.44
·         No change in the First-Class Mail, Standard Mail, Periodicals, Parcel Post and some other services pricing.
·         Priority Mail Flat Rate envelopes will be reduced to $4.90.
·         The Priority Mail for one-pound price now will vary by distance shipped (zone).
